Luxury Train Across the American West: Inside the Canyon Spirit Maiden Voyage
All aboard for something special. In this episode of Transit Unplugged TV, host Paul Comfort takes you along for the maiden voyage of the Canyon Spirit—a brand-new luxury rail journey across the American West.

The trip starts in Denver at historic Union Station before heading out through the Rockies on a three-day adventure to Salt Lake City. Along the way, you’ll see what makes this experience so different—from the onboard service and storytelling to the incredible scenery you just can’t get any other way.
There’s a lot packed into this journey. Think chef-prepared meals, comfortable lounge cars, and nonstop views of rivers, canyons, and mountains. Off the train, the experience continues with a stop in Glenwood Springs (including the famous hot springs) and time in Moab, where the landscape feels almost otherworldly at Arches National Park.
You’ll also hear from the people behind the train and get a better sense of how Canyon Spirit is carving out its own identity in the world of luxury rail travel.
This isn’t just transportation. It’s a curated journey through the Wild West—one where the views, the service, and the stories come together for a truly memorable experience.
