Welcome to your Transit Unplugged News Minute.
Speaker:The Canadian Urban Transit Association is sounding the alarm to gather government
Speaker:support to help with the critical public transit shortfalls across Canada.
Speaker:This includes Vancouver's TransLink, which might have to cut bus service in half.
Speaker:The Miami Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works
Speaker:is building the first all electric transit center in the United States.
Speaker:It will support a new fleet of 100 battery electric buses.
Speaker:There is a nationwide movement in the U.S.
Speaker:to provide zero fare transit for students, Sacramento Regional
Speaker:Transit District currently has 4.2 million students riding free, and
Speaker:the Denver RTD Board of Directors approved to extend its pilot program.
Speaker:Congratulations to the:Speaker:Association Awards, and congrats to the winners of the Southwest
Speaker:Transit Association Spotlight Awards.
