Are public-private partnerships the solution?
It’s been quite a year!
It’s been quite a year here at Transit Unplugged. We’ve had amazing guests and travelled the world together learning about transit in all its forms. This is the final newsletter of the year, but we still have two more episodes coming for you next week.
But first we have the final interview from the CUTA series with Arthur Nicolet, CEO of Transdev Canada. Arthur and Paul dive into the role of contracting and public-private partnerships as ways to improve transit. Of course, looking ahead to 2024 they talk about the role of AI in transit and how it will shape things to come.
Don’t forget to check out Edmonton on Transit Unplugged TV!
If you missed it, don’t forget to check out Transit Unplugged TV and all the amazing things going on in Edmonton. For January we’re going to heat things up with a visit to Phoenix and Tempe, AZ! You’ve already had a taste of Valley Metro and Culdesac on the podcast, now you’ll get to see it for yourself.

Thank you for being a part of our transit enthusiast community this year. We won’t be publishing a newsletter next week, but there will be a final episode on Wednesday looking back at 2023 and ahead to 2024 with Paul Skoutelas and Petra Mollet of APTA plus a special bonus episode from The Overhead Wire on Friday too.
Wishing all of you Happy Holidays and a joyous New Year.
