Happy Earth Day! Free transit passes in Canada

Florida’s Broward County Transit is using a compassionate approach to manage homelessness. In November, they began a pilot program to address the issues of unsheltered people at bus terminals, bus stops, and on vehicles. With a team of outreach workers, BCT has provided over 300 people with essential services and legal assistance. Source: Broward County Transit

And over 40,000 people have signed up for Earth Day Canada’s program which has Canadians commit to 10 sustainable commutes… like riding a bike or taking public transportation instead of driving. The grand prize includes a one-year public transit pass. Earth Day Canada
