Solving the OEM Bus Crisis Together
There are no quick fixes to solving the OEM bus crisis
Not long ago there were 10 companies building buses in the U.S.; now there are fewer than three. Sometimes it seems like crises appear overnight, taking everyone by surprise, but the OEM bus manufacturer crisis has been years in the making and stems from systemic issues around custom bus orders and paying for the buses themselves.

This week on the podcast, Paul talks with former FTA Administrator Sherry Little, plus Jennifer McNeill and Stephanie Laubenstein of New Flyer. Sherry, Jennifer, and Stephanie talk about the tremendous strides the entire industry is making to dig out of this crisis and build a strong future for OEM bus manufacturers in the U.S. for the future.
There won’t be any easy or fast fixes to this crisis, but the unprecedented collaboration among all stakeholders is our best chance yet to get things rolling again.
