TRANSIT UNPLUGGED TV WINS PRESTIGIOUS w3 AWARD FOR DIGITAL EXCELLENCE
New York, NY (October 2, 2024) – Transit Unplugged TV is proud to announce its recognition at the 19th Annual w3 Awards, where it was honored with a gold award for creative excellence in digital content for the widely acclaimed Rocky Mountaineer train episode. Presented by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), the w3 Awards celebrate the best in digital experiences, content, and creativity across the globe.
Hosted by transit evangelist and Modaxo SVP Paul Comfort, Transit Unplugged TV is a travel show featuring the best in people transportation around the globe. This year’s w3 Award recognizes the episode that took viewers on a journey through the stunning landscape of the Canadian Rockies aboard the iconic Rocky Mountaineer. The show captured not only the scenic wonder of this world-renowned train route but also the importance of rail in connecting people and places.
In 2024, Transit Unplugged TV covered inspiring stories from cities like Phoenix, Austin, Tulsa, Kansas City, and Halifax, among others. From the deserts of Arizona to the peaks of Alaska, each episode showcases the commitment and resilience of transit teams who keep their communities safe, reliable, and mobile. Transit Unplugged TV is created by Producer and Host Paul Comfort, Director Jaime Cuadra, and Executive Producer Julie Gates.
